Hartalika Teej is a sacred Hindu festival celebrated by women to seek long life, happiness, and prosperity for their families. According to Hindu mythology, the day commemorates Goddess Parvati's intense devotion and penance, which ultimately led Lord Shiva to accept her as his divine consort. On this auspicious occasion, women dress in vibrant traditional attire, create handmade clay idols of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, and gather in the evening for special prayers and devotional singing.
